About

Stories that inspire. Worlds that last.

Walls can hold a body. They cannot hold a world. We read incarcerated and formerly incarcerated writers for craft — and put the author’s name on the book.

Our mission

CrossWorlds Publishing is a selective house for fantasy, science fiction, and practical guides — books built to last. We treat imagination as a serious instrument: worlds with rules, futures with consequences, and guides that give a reader a next move. Incarceration cannot lock that instrument away. We welcome finished work from incarcerated and formerly incarcerated writers, and from every other author who meets the same standard. We are not looking for a cautionary tale. We are looking for the author. Your name stays on the spine.

Three imprints. Three kinds of range. Fantasy is the world they said you could not leave. Science Fiction is the future they said you would not reach. Guides are the map you wish someone had handed you — practical books, often written by people who know the system, for readers who need a next move. We take a short list. We make the book as if it will still matter in ten years.

Vision

A small, recognizable house. When a reader sees CrossWorlds on the spine, they should know the book was designed on purpose: readable type, no generic stock look, no disposable production. We want titles that still make sense in ten years — stories that inspire, and worlds that last.

Guides

CrossWorlds is an independent publisher based in Florida. We produce trade paperbacks and ebooks and place them where readers already buy books. We are not a content mill, and we are not a vanity press. We choose work. Then we make it well.
